Preparations for the election are in full swing, the commission chief is coming to the state again

There are no more days left. The Election Commission has increased its activities with vote-preparation. Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Election Commissioner Sudip Jain is returning to the state. Sudip can give some guidelines in the preparatory meeting before the assembly vote. He is coming to the state for the second time before the vote.

The by-election commissioner visited South and North Bengal at the end of last December. He also held meetings with police and administrative officials. During the voting, he can give the necessary instructions again so that the election process is completed in accordance with the Kovid rules.

According to the office of the Chief Electoral Officer of the state, he is scheduled to visit the state on January 11 and 12. In the last assembly elections, there were about 6,000 polling stations in the state. The commission may add another 26,000 booths to avoid congestion and infection.

He has already held meetings with the district magistrates in the first phase on various details of vote preparation. State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Ariz Aftab and other senior officials were present at the meeting. Risk booth mapping has been completed.
