To book cooking gas, you no longer have to call and press one button after another as directed by Interactive Voice Response (IVR). Once you make a missed call to a specific number, the inden gas cylinder will be booked. Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurated the Indian Oil Corporation's service across the country. Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurated the missed call service at a function in Bhubaneswar, Orissa on Friday. He appealed to the gas distribution companies so that the cylinders could be delivered to the customers' homes within hours of booking. Dharmendra Pradhan also revealed the missed call number (8454955555) for booking Indian gas cylinders. As a result, those who are not comfortable with IVR will no longer have difficulty booking gas. There will be no call charge for booking gas with missed call to 8454955555.
